812-372-1541 Presented by: Gary Kent, PLS Description: After completing this session, attendees will have been given the basics of interpreting deeds and performing surveys based on those interpretations. Attendees will be introduced to common law rules that outline the principles of boundary location and will learn how to apply those rules in preparing a defensible survey. Specific performance objectives include improving participants' knowledge base such that after attending this workshop, they are able to: Outline the requirements of Rule 12 with regard to theory of location; Explain the application of Federal statutes and rules; Describe the role of common law in determining Theory of Location; Derive the intent from a record document; Classify calls as informative or controlling; Apply the "Order of Importance of Conflicting Title Evidence" in determining acceptable solutions to boundary problems.
